Meet Emmy – Young, Sweet, Smart & Ready for Her Forever Home!

She just turned ONE and is looking for a family who loves an active, clever girl.

Here’s what we can tell you about Emmy:

  • She give the sweetest puppy kisses and has the softest fur.

  • She loves people, loves to snuggle, and loves to be near her humans.

  • Emmy is still working on her lead manners (she pull a little), but she can Sit, Drop, and Stay.

  • She is not a problem barker and she only occasionally like to do a little bit of digging.

  • She would be happy living as an only dog or with another younger dog to play with.

  • Emmy need lots of walks, play and training to keep her happy.

  • She has not met any cats yet, is not afraid of storms and travels well in the car (she just get a bit motion sick sometimes).

Here is what we are looking for in Emmy’s forever home:

  • Children over 14 years old

  • Someone home most of the time (she loves company!)

  • Another young doggy playmate would be fun (but not essential)

  • Plenty of walks, exercise, and training – she thrive when kept busy

Emmy still learning not to jump up and to keep her teeth away from clothes and hands – but she is a very good girl who just needs the right guidance to be the best big girl she can be.

Adoption Process

RGRV invests significant time getting to know our Goldies to ensure a perfect match between each dog’s needs and their new home. Ensuring the future wellbeing of both the dog and the new owner is our priority, and a good fit between the dog and the adopter is essential.

Minimum criteria

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for adoption:

  • Age restrictions: we do not place dogs in homes with children under the age of 10 years. This policy is strict due to the generally unknown history of our dogs, aiming to minimise potential risks.

  • Home requirements: your residence must have a securely enclosed outdoor area, with fencing and gates at least 1.5 metres high.

  • Yard size: typically, we do not place dogs in homes with small yards (less than the size of a double car garage), unless the dog is elderly and less space is suitable.

  • Housing type: we do not place dogs in apartment blocks, as our dogs generally require more space and a specific living environment.

  • Shelter: your yard must include a covered structural shelter, such as a covered verandah, entertainment area or open garage. A kennel or dog house does not provide adequate shelter.

  • Application process: the adoption questionnaire must be completed by the person(s) who will be named as the new owner(s). We cannot accept questionnaires completed on behalf of someone else, including family members.
